133. 5th generation of Fridays
Friday, June 15, 2012

Looking at the new born kittens, I just realized how common these events have been. Our history with cats started about two years ago with an abandoned cat my dad found somewhere. He named her Friday, since it was a Friday, and the chain of cats started from there.

The thing is, I don't like cute things. I'm not intrigued by cuteness like most of my female friends. There were a few cute kittens in CFS and every time a girl found one, they'd be screaming and flailing their hands all over the place, and I just...don't understand that. There was even a 'Lost kitten' poster pinned all over ZC at one point. It was absurd.

I guess I'm not fond of the idea of liking cats because they're cute. To own something because of their physical appearance would suggest that the admiration would waver once the beauty fades away, and I don't think that's fair. Cats are cute when they're kittens. When they have big ears, big eyes and a small body. When they get older, they morph into normal average looking cats which aren't as appealing as they were when they were kittens. And when that happens, the love slowly disappears.

Cats are great company. They surprisingly listen to you. If you babble just about anything, they'll 'meow' in agreement. You can stroke their heads, and they'll curl on your lap. You can even kick them, and they'll still play with you.

Cats are nice for pets.
